have decided to keep a physical reference book of all the samples i do of natural dyeing so that i can learn and work on my findings in order to create stronger richer colours. the photo shows my book.
i am using small squares of 45% hemp 55% bamboo organic jersey as my test pieces as this type of fabric is what I would like to start making all of my t shirts and yoga wear with in the future. the weave and nature of the fabric also means it takes up colour a lot stronger than something like cotton does.
organic cotton sherpa is also being used for sampling as t his has a much lower colour take-up rate but i would still like to use this fabric in my jumpers in the future so i will continue testing on the fabric until i found dyes which work well with it
